Our study of the theoretical potential of Nvidia GeForce GTX 200 graphics architecture showed that these new solutions are pretty promising, however, have a few issues of their own. The test session in contemporary games should cross all t’s and dot all i’s on this matter.
New Nvidia GTX 200 graphics architecture is just as interesting as the recently announced ATI Radeon HD 4800 that is why it deserves thorough and detailed discussion. Today we are going to talk about the results of synthetic benchmarks obtained from Gainward GeForce GTX 280 and Leadtek GeForce GTX 260.
Since the contemporary graphics card market has become highly segmented over the past few years and there appeared quite a few pre-overclocked graphics cards, extreme overclocking has become less acute for the end-user. However, since ATI Radeon HD 3800 boasted pretty good overclocking potential, we decided to see if extreme overclocking with voltage regulator circuitry modifications would improve the ATI Radeon HD 3870 performance significantly.
Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX got pretty ambiguous reviews because of slight priority over Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB and new name. However, as we have expected, pre-overclocked modifications of this graphics accelerator started appearing in the market. One of these cards was tested in our lab.
We doubt anyone will argue that ASUSTeK Computer products can be easily distinguished from the competitors’ solutions. Today we will talk about ASUS graphics card on an Nvidia GPU and will find out if anything makes it special.
In the previous article devoted to the new ATI architecture we revealed its significant potential. Now it time for us to move from theory to practice and check how well it will perform in contemporary games.
We will review and test three graphics cards from two vendors, and will introduce some new benchmarks. Read our review to find out more about GeForce 9800 GTX from Chaintech.
We have been waiting for new graphics architecture from ATI for a long time, especially since the previous ATI Radeon HD generation couldn’t compete successfully against high-performance Nvidia solutions. Will ATI Radeon HD 4800 prove up to everyone’s expectations? Let’s try answering this question from the theoretical prospective and also check out the first graphics accelerator based on the new ATI RV770 chip – Power Color Radeon HD 4850 512MB.
Time has come for us to witness another round between professional graphics cards currently offered by AMD and Nvidia companies. We tested contemporary professional solutions from ATI FireGL and Nvidia Quadro FX series in CAD/CAM applications. It was also interesting to see what a popular gaming graphics card can do in the same type of applications. Read our review for details!
ATI Radeon graphics card family has recently acquired a new member: ATI Radeon HD 3650. Todayw e will discuss one of the solutions based on this chip - MSI R3650-T2D512-OC – and will fid out if it is worthy representative of the ATI Radeon HD 3000 family that can offer new performance level in the Sub-$100 price range.
Our today’s review will be devoted for the first time to two solutions - ATI Radeon HD 3850 and 3870 – based on the same PCB layout. These will be the products from Gigabyte - GV-RX385256H and GV-RX387512H models. We will try to find out what their advantages and drawbacks are compared with the same graphics solutions based on the reference design.
Nvidia GeForce 9 graphics card family keeps getting new members. Today we are going t talk about Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX from Gainward – a graphics accelerator that tends to be the fastest single-chip solution today, but which is not that very much different from a well-known GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB. Is it worth the $349 they ask for it? Let’s find out!
There are a lot of ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2-based graphics cards on the market, but there are just a few of them that come pre-overclocked. Today we are taking a look at MSI's Radeon HD 3870 X2 OC Edition graphics card that can offer higher performance thanks to higher clock-speeds.
The GPU developers are doing their best to promote multi-GPU technologies in all market sectors. Today we’ll find out what is the purpose of multi-GPU support in mainstream graphics cards. Is it just a marketing feature or an affordable method of boosting performance? We will check it out using Gigabyte GV-NX96T512H-B.
Factory pre-overclocking of graphics accelerators has already become a common thing for us. Today we are going to discuss on the pre-overclocked modifications of Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB and see how it can improve performance in contemporary games.
ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 didn’t remain the 3D King for long: Nvidia regained the initiative by launching their new GeForce 9800 GX2. However, AMD graphics division still has something to respond with: a graphics subsystem with three ATI Radeon HD 3870 chips. Will ATI 3-way CrossFireX platform be able to compete successfully against Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2? We are going to answer this question in our today’s review!
Although all GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB graphics cards that were available in the market a while ago were none other but a copy of Nvidia’s reference design, the unique modifications of this graphics adapter were destined to appear sooner or later. We would like to offer you a review of one solution like that that is not only superior to all exiting GeForce 8800 GTS graphics cards, but also outperforms the GeForce 9800 GTX!
This article is devoted to the situation with contemporary multi-GPU systems. We are going to introduce to you Nvidia’s response to ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 - the new dual-chip GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics adapter that should replace the long-term leader of the high-end 3D segment - GeForce 8800 Ultra. We take a look at 4-way ATI CrossFire and compare it against Nvidia's new implementation of Quad SLI. Which quad is better? Let's find out!
UPDATE: Benchmark results of 3-way ATI CrossFire added.
Today we are going to talk about an attempt by ECS Company to design a completely silent modification of Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB and will see how successful this solution turned out.
Today we are going to introduce to you a new representative of the Nvidia GeForce 9 family that should compete against extremely successful ATI Radeon HD 3850/3870 in the mainstream segment. Will the new Nvidia solution prove up to this task? Let’s find out from our new article devoted to Gainward Bliss 9600 GT 512MB GS graphics card!
