Please note that after some time (about 1 month), the headphonejack is not fixed anymore so the slightest touch makes your music sound different. This is a problem known to many users. So future buyers should probably wait until Creatives fixes this problem.

Ok, while it was a good article, it doesn't address the one question that everybody in the market for such a device is asking: HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO THE IPOD. Yes, im sure many of you are groaning at this, but the fact is that the IPOD is the most popular and widely used mini Harddrive based MP3 Player on the market. I think that the fatal flaw of this article is not that it did not do a side by side comparison, but did not even make reference to its market rival.

Big selling point is Subscription based music services capability - Microsoft's PlaysForSure(TM). Must update to latest drivers from creative.com.

Why buy music from iTunes when you can rent it from services such as Yahoo! Music or others for less than $5 a month?!

I just loaded up the player with about 950
songs. At 99 cents a song that's a $950. That's more than 15 years of subscription fees.

With any of these mp3 players can you add songs to it while away from your computer? Then transfer those newly added songs to your computer later? I know you can partition part of the player and use it as a storage drive. But can you not listen to the mp3's while in transit?

This is one of those players which will definately be remembered as smth that challenged the ipods but because one can only store songs not use it as a sencond hardrive..it's gonna lose some points but hey! it's still no1 in my book

I loved my zen micro and i still DO! I just passed having it 1 year yay! it cost me $200 and I have been having no problems except for a few minor freezing problems that i was ABLE to fix. just yesterday my beloved mp3 froze... and i think it will be its last time. Sure i've dropped it a few times but its a PORTABLE mp3 player it's gotta drop sumtime! one day my earphoes went whack i though it was earphones but i was like, "I just bought this last month!" so i wondered what was wrong. I just turned it off and left it for a while. I checked back in 1 hour and 1/2 and it would turn on but the music just wouldnt get to my ears. Then i turned it on after a few more hours and it froze..:'( Now my micro that is still in A- condition isnt working!! I haven't even told my folks or my sibs. We use the mp3 when we play drums and guitar, and just imagine how dreadful that would be... well just wanted to get my story out there.. so if you're planning on buying a creative mp3 make sure u get one that is new bcuz they are improved.. and read the official reviews ppl make sure its worth your money! mine was.. but now its not
