Comparing PCs to cars is a joke - and a bad one at that. Sorry but as a car and PC guy, there is no comparison. Despite the attempts to glorify PCs, they are simply tools to accomplish a task. Yes I am aware some folks base their self-worth on the looks and performance of their laptop or PC, but it's just an ill conceived head ruse to soothe their ego.

It's certainly foolish to label a laptop a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Anyone who would buy these over-priced under performing laptops has more money than brains. The last laptops you'd want to consider high-end laptops is Asus and Acer. I mean Asus hasn't been able to produce a defect free mobo in the past three years. Acer is more the mass volume supplier than high-end. Asus is just peddling other peoples work under their name plate and it ain't great stuff and it's pissin off Asus' suppliers.

I doubt anyone with a clue will be purchasing this stuff. It's more for the gold chain crowd who couldn't buy a clue but they have lots of Daddy's money to spend.

Just like the Lambikini brand, this ASUS laptop is a full load of bull. After all, if you name a computer after a supercar, shouldn't you at least have high end components, rather than mid-range parts? For example, the screen should have gone to 1920x1200, the graphics should be GeForce Go 7950 GTX, hard drive should be 7200rpm, etc.

BTW, the Lamborghini has not produced the fastest production car for a long time, but the laptop is still too slow to fit the car's image.

Top speed aside, what about handling? Or in this case, ergonomics? Many manufacturers (including ASUS) simply don't pay attention to keyboard layout these days. And whose idiotic idea is that to not include pointing stick/trackpoint, which saves user's from excessive finger movements when moving mouse pointer? In fact, the only companies I have respect on laptop ergonomics is Lenovo/IBM with its Thinkpads, but their graphics are slow. HP and Dell used to be on that list too, except they now ditched the stick in new laptops. :(
