I own this board (among many) and wonder why the reviewer did not review in more the uGuru monitoring and OC tool

It would have to be the very best software EVER made that allows nearly every available adjustment in bios can now be easily done in windows

Please replace this reviewer ASAP X-bit. Reading this review felt like reading a mini review thread on a hardware forum. You know something like: "I just got myI35Pro its awsome!!!." The reviewers nickname fits how he reviews hardware, Like an excited forum poster, unprofessiopnal.

I always had X-Bit labs on a same level as Techreport,PCPER and [H] on my mind. ( professional, top class reviews)

This review sounds very informal and very forum post like. Skimping on many aspects of a full review.

The last part almost made me laugh. Here:

Highs:

A lot of them, can’t remember all – an excellent mainboard.
Lows:

Hardly any.

ROFLMAO he couldnt remeber what the pros were because there were to many and thats what we should decide on? Ok there were too many goods that he couldnt even remeber I think thats enough for me to go buy this board.

Or NO cons at all? Is that even possible? I have one for you this board's ethernet is based on old PCI bus wich was not even mentioned on the review.

I must say that I am not dissing abit I35 pro at all. But this review is a poster child for an unprofessional review. Please google for I35Pro and find yourselves a real review.

Also I want to add that I am not trying to ruin X-Bit's reputation. On the contrary I like X-Bit reviews (Anton's reviews come to mind) I am feeling that these kind of reviews will hurt X-Bit's reputation. So loose the reviewer please and save X-Bit's reputaion, my favorite PC hardware review website.

Dedicated X-bit reader.

I did not speak that the board is fully perfect. The some lows are listed. But there are no grave disadvantage on which it is necessary to pay attention.

the review was OK.

I don't know why some don't like it. Maybe most of us are not really into hardware. I just want some easy to understand review as what the hell to buy.

Am getting this board

I've never played a game on a PC or anywhere else, yet quality is quality. I'm not overwhelmed by professional reviews because you're not spending your money, so I read the customer reviews first, bought the board and then read your reviews. Your reviews matter because I'm never conpletely satisfied and will some day sell this rig and I won't sell junk. I can sell this box based on your review, and that's all that matters to me.

Unprofessional? Not really.

Brief? Sure, but I got the impression (especially from previously mentioned boards) that he enjoyed his OC experience much more. That's a subject Techreport didn't really do into.

Thankfully TR did hook up the I/O problems w/ the board, namely NIC and 1394. So in effect, they compliment each other.

Thanks X-Bit!

Really nice review, I'll admit, I'v made decision to buy this board after reading it.
Had one problem with this MB, but now it's in the past and everything runs smooth as silk. Had no problems overclocking q6600 up to 3.2GHz (wasn't very lucky with cpu, got B3 :( ). Didn't go further coz I'm not planning to bake on it (factory overclocked 8800gtx is reserved for that duty). You may consider active cooling on PVM's, because they get pretty hot under full load (up to 71 degrees ).

Abit's IP35 line of motherboards are simply the best c2d and penryn mobos available, go with the IP35-E for budget or take the IP35,the Pro version is needless. All boards rock, are super stable and overclock like a dream...for a budget rocket build, a Intel E2160/Abit IP35-E overclocked at 3ghz and beyond easily at 140 euros is THE Bomb!

Yeah. Let's talk about the wonderful (that's sarcasm) website chock full of answers to all your technical questions-- written in "Engrish" so bad it'd be funny if it weren't my money and time on the line.

And a faq of 7 COUNT EM 7 questions (for all their boards?), none of which address the aparently common problem of POST ERROR 7F. Yeah-- I've removed the battery, the ps, reset the pins overnight and still I lock at 7F..and it tells me my memory is DDR2-666. Funny how the memory thinks it's DDR2-800. And YES it's 1.8v

Don't waste your time.
Don't waste your money.
Go buy something else

I just bought this board, and well, it looks great, I would just like to see it RUN.

Bought an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor, with heat sink. The heat sink would not stay on the motherboard. I'd push one pin in, another would pop out. -so I came up with a way to bolt the thing on.

I bought an ULTRA, D1106 500 watt power supply. The 12V1 connector on the motherboard has 8 connectors on it, The 12V1 cable from the power supply has SIX!

I lost the manuel, and disk, and ABIT does NOT have manuels on their website.

NOW WHAT!!!
