So if I get this one correctly:
Dreamworks wants money (at least 150 mio$) from Blu-ray consortium, or Shrek won't be published on blu-ray format.

It's too simple and native to draw to such a conclusion. Given now Dreamworks is the only studio who typically only draw cartoons only can't release BluRay. Also remember that BluRay players can playback DVD as well. It shouldn't be counted as a obstacle toward BluRay's success!
