1. 7.5W with needs active cooling?????

Look at the size of heatsink.

Maybe if you studied a tiny bit of thermodynamics, you'd realise why this particular motherboard (made by Gigabyte) needs active cooling.

5W or less is more suitable for a completely fanless system.

Wrong. 5 watt or less it is suitable for no cooling at all. Intel's old i810 chipset had a 3 watt TDP, and never had a heatsink on it. Intel's old 865g chipset has a max TDP of 12 watts, yet they are not actively cooled. This should not need a fan at all. You need to go back to school.

There's no need to take that tone (both of you).

4. This is going to make a great NAS board. I'm eager to use this type of setup instead of a NSLU2 (slug).
