85 degrees? Kiss my ass.
I have the exact same card and under load the fan by default spins faster, and thus, the card remains in the mid 70's.
Setting the fan speed at 100%, I can overclock it to 810/2000/1100.
The fact that your card's fan remains at a constant 800rpm may be caused by a driver bug.

don't know how did you get only - 10883 marks with stock GTX card - i get 11977 ?? that is difference of cca 2000 marks!!
But with stock 8800 GTS 512 - 11800
on VISTA Ultimate 32bit.
maybe because CPU - Q9300 - stock
