For a heatsink that is even heavier than Scythe Ninja Copper, it is disappointing that it still uses CLIPS to secure the heat sink, instead of bolting it down, which is needed to create a high pressure mount that is more effective in transferring heat away from CPU.

Lacking perfomance aside, the cantilever effect can cause thermal compound to slip, which can be damaging to CPU. The greatest irony is, only the older Ninja Rev. B supports secure bolt through mounting, by using Thermalright Bolt-thru Board Mounting kit.[1]

I had the opportunity to test this heatsink with an E8500 and it's performance was completelly disapointing. I compared it with my actual Zipang and, even with the fan, it was trailing waaaaay behind it. Also, mounting it was a complete nightmare. I don't understand how Scythe can come across a wonderfull heatsink as the Zipang and, at the same time, such disastrous one as the Orochi.

It would have been better if you compared it to the Ultra 120 Extreme.
