How is this review useful, if you replaced the retention on the heatsink?

Surely the screwed-down metal bracket with a backplate provides a better contact than a plastic one, held only at the holes.

I've also noticed that it has become difficult to get a hold of the sold-separately LGA775 retention kit from thermalright; although even if it was available, it would probably add 25% to the price of the heatsink.

Sorry for the bile, but the weird retention is the main reason why I was staying away from it...

This cooler seems like a complete rip-off from the EKL Groß'Clockner (german company), which was released in april 2008.
