VIA does in fact make audio ICs, and they are pretty well known for it. The ICEnsemble Envy24HT is regarded by stereophiles as one of the best, cheapest solutions for music listening on a PC. This was the chipset used in the very cheap Chaintech AV-710 and also the more expensive M-Audio Revolution.

Great article guys... as usual. But I can't wait for the Gigabyte review. I am looking to by a similar Gigabyte motherboard on the 790X chip. I want to see how it overclocks, because there is many comments out there that the FX overclocks better. I really do not need 3 or 4 PCI-E 16x slots. I'd rather have better expansion options. So if you can throw few words on how FX and X compare in overclocking terms I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers

Another great review from you guys. But im operating on a Intel x58 platform.Still, current AMD cpus do overclock pretty well compared to the first bunch of phenom and the Athlons......

Im realy curious to know how AMD's cpu voltages compare to Intel's, cuz it took you over 1.6v to clock at 4 GHz...
