Good article. I've been waiting for it since you posted the Asus review. I have a question though. You said that there is plenty of room around the socket for a large cooler. However, I am concerned that my Mugen 2 will not fit with the fan installed and tall RAM (Patriot Viper). Have you tried installing Mugen 2 and tall RAM sticks? Thanks in advance.

I don't have Mugen 2 right now, but I'm sure that it is "partially compatible". You can install the cooler, but it will block the first memory slot.

Thanks D4E. Im just afraid that it will be blocking the third slot as well. I have a Biostar TF8200+ with plenty of room around the socket and my Mugen 2 with a fan installed is blocking the third slot. I had to tape the fan above the ram heatspreader. I am looking to upgrade to AM3 and I do not want to have the same problem.

Cheers!

as much as i liked the review and the board i do have one complaint about it why oh why do manufacturers gatta make cripple fire boards if there is only 16 pci-e lanes then just make the board a single pci-e x16 slot dont cripple my cards by splitting it in two for 2x x8pci-e slots and then try charging a premium for it coz its "crossfire cappable" shit even my venerable socket 939 asus a8r32-mvp deluxe has two x x16pci-e slots for christ sakes that work at x16 for both when two cards are used and it uses solid japanese caps so there again nothing new

Great review. I just wonder how will i connect my rear case fan?
Do i have to use the system fan connectors? Or is there another solution?
Please tell me...

Thanx
