Hi everyone,
I have been using Win 7 64bit now since about May, when it first got released. It has really worked well for me and have got alot of use out of it. I did a reformat to kill off some partitions because they was too small for what I needed. I went to reinstall everything, it went well. got the full size partitions back. I have a pair of WD Raptors 150gb. Not in raid, wanted to do something simple and kept them as is. Here is where the issue started, I use Disk Keeper to defrag my HDs, it has always worked well for me, then I went to there site and updated the program and something went wrong , so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled without the update, now what happens is when I am using the administrator account, ( my primary, get tired of the nagging from the UAC ) The programs freeze on the desktop. I cant open a file without getting a new window open and the web browser's all do the same. When I am playing an online game, I wont be able to move in the direction I want to move in, moves me opposite of what I want. The icons on the desktop, all bunch together and I cant move them without moving all of them however if I go to the other account, it is all good, none of that happens. if anyone has any idea of what is going wrong, please advise. If there is a fix rather than a reformat, would be good, I get tired of always reformatting when something goes awry and I cant figure something out. Thank you for anything that may help me figure this out! |

This might sound obvious but have you run any Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware software.. the problems sound a bit like malware.
you could try something like
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Spybot Search & Destroy
Lavasoft Ad-Aware
Panda online virus scanner _________________ Specs:

| I always run my PC free of all the junk and what not that comes from visiting various web sites and such...was wondering for a while what would cause my OS to act like the way as described...I found out that and this seems sord of silly now that I know..it was my sticky shift key...it was getting stuck in the down position...didnt even realize that the sticky shift key would cause that to happen...I just replaced the keyboard with a nice MS ...since I found that out..didnt have the same problem |

Well done! Those simple small problems can be the most difficult ones. _________________ We never think of us as being one of Them. We are always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things. |
