VIA Technologies this week announced its sales results for the just ended month. The company had to proclaim a yet another alarming decline in its revenues, but remained tight-lipped about the causes for such situation.

On a sequential basis, VIA’s November’s revenue represents a 16.02% decrease over October’s figure of $57.7 million. November’s $48.451 million in revenue is also 29% lower compared to November 2002 and about 38% less than in the same period of 2001. VIA’s combined sales for eleven months ended is $551.04 million versus $682.56 a year ago and represents a decline of 19.27%.

A spokesperson for VIA Technologies had not returned a call for comments and elaborations on the company’s lowering financial results and the reason for sales declines by press time.

1.
VIA is in big trouble now. Taiwan's government is suing VIA's directors for spying. They may receive maximal 4 years sentence.
Some people say the lawsuit may be a punishment to VIA from Taiwanese government for VIA’s large investment into mainland china. By the way the directors of VIA are husband and wife.
