Silicon Integrated Systems, a quite successful developer of core-logic solutions, today announces monthly revenue for June. The company continues to rapidly expand its market presence on year-over-year basis, unlike its main rival VIA Technologies.

Based on the company’s preliminary estimates, its sales in June were approximately $32 million, about $1.12 million lower compared to VIA. SiS’ result is a 10% increase over June 2002, and a decrease of 4% over May 2003. The 2003 year-to-date revenue is estimated at $250 million, a 27% increase over the same period a year ago, but still roughly 30 million less than VIA’s year-to-date sales.

Seasonal decline in PC sales as well as absence of higher-end chipset products to ship are the main reasons of eroding sales of both Taiwanese core-logic developers, though, SiS’ results continue to improve annually, whereas VIA’s sales have been dropping year-over-year for more than 12 months now.
