NVIDIA Corporation today introduced the NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700 mobile workstation graphics solution. This is the first ever GeForce FX and DirectX 9.0-class graphics processor optimised to work with professional applications, but unfortunately, NVIDIA did not disclose any technical details about this exciting newcomer.

Obviously, like all Quadro and GeForce FX solutions, the NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700 provides full 128-bit floating-point precision pipeline, 12-bit subpixel precision, hardware accelerated antialiased points & lines, Hardware OpenGL overlay planes, hardware accelerated two-sided lighting, hardware accelerated clipping planes, 3rd generation occlusion culling, 16 textures per pixel, OpenGL quad-buffered stereo (3-pin sync connector), AGP 8x with Fast Writes and sideband addressing as well as other features, such as 16x antialising and so on. Being a mobile solution from NVIDIA, the chip supports power-saving PowerMizer 3.0 technology.

Unfortunately, I have no idea if the Quadro FX Go700 is actually based on the GeForce FX Go5200 or Go5600. Because of that fact I am not able to figure out its power-consumption and other peculiarities of the new graphics processors for mobile applications.

The NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700 is available immediately from Dell in the Dell Precision M60 mobile workstation based on Intel Centrino.
