Well, I managed to come across some very interesting info on the new SiS330 graphics chip, which engineering samples have already started shipping (see this news story). Unfortunately, its exact specs are still a secret to us. All we know about this product is just some very general things. But this is anyway better than nothing, especially since performance is not a top priority issue for the chips of the kind (Low-End and Value sector).

So, as I found out, SiS330 will support AGP 8x, DirectX 8.1 (!) and will be showcased at CeBIT 2002 in Hanover this March. Let me add that its performance is claimed to be comparable with that of NVIDIA GeForce2, so that we get a really "cool mix". Now we should only try it :)
