Responding to the recent announcement of Intel Celeron processors targeted for the notebook sector, AMD launched today two new Duron CPUs with 1.1GHz and 1.2GHz core clock frequencies. Like their predecessors, new mobile Durons are based on Morgan core and support 200MHz processor bus. They also support PowerNow! technology and feature 64KB L2 cache. The pricing of the new mobile Duron CPUs is $160 for a 1.2GHz processor and $130 for a 1.1GHz processor, according to the official price-list.

Together with the launching of the new mobile Duron processors, AMD corrected the prices of the older mobile Duron models. The price of the mobile Duron 1.0GHz dropped from $160 down to $100, and mobile Duron 950MHz now costs $90 instead of $130. Mobile Duron 900MHz and 850MHz were removed from the official price-list.
