Our friends from Reactor Critical have shared some info about the prices of NVIDIA GeForce4 based graphics cards (here follow recommended retail prices):
  • GeForce4 Ti 4600: NV25 clocked at 350MHz, 128 MB DDR SDRAM clocked at 325MHz (650MHz DDR) - $399;
  • GeForce4 Ti 4400: NV25 clocked at 350MHz, 64 MB DDR SDRAM clocked at 275MHz (550MHz DDR) - $399;
  • GeForce4 MX 460: NV17 clocked at 300MHz, 64 MB DDR SDRAM clocked at 275MHz (550MHz DDR) - $199;
  • GeForce4 MX 440: NV17 clocked at 270MHz, 64 MB DDR SDRAM clocked at 200MHz (400MHz DDR) - $149;
  • GeForce4 MX 420: NV17 clocked at 250MHz, 64 MB SDRAM clocked at 166MHz - from $ 69 till $99 depending on the configuration.
Please, don’t be surprised at GeForce4 Ti 4600 and GeForce4 Ti 4400 based cards being priced at the same $399. You see, first there will arrive GeForce4 Ti 4400 with corresponding cards costing $399. When after a while GeForce4 Ti 4600 appears, GeForce4 Ti 4400 based cards will get cheaper ($300-$350) and the new GeForce4 Ti 4600 based ones will in their turn cost $399.
We’d like to note that the clock frequencies of GeForce4 and GeForce4 MX posted at Reactor Critical do not look plausible.
