VisionTek to Come Back? With Whom and How? [10/04/2002 02:48 PM]

Although some of the executives from VisionTek left the company and started a new one called BFG Technologies (see this news-story), one of our sources indicated that VisionTek is still trying to survive now.

The informant told us that the remaining board of executives is now trying to get a loan from a bank. They have enough chances to receive the credit and start their business from the very beginning.

Unfortunately for VisionTek, NVIDIA is now focused on BFG Technologies, so, it may happen that the Santa Clara based GPU developer will not work as closely with VisionTek as they used to in future and possibly will not make them very favourable offerings anymore. As a result, the graphics card vendor may start to use graphics chips and cards from some other companies, from ATI Technologies, for example.

The whole piece of information is totally unofficial, hence, can contain some misleading or out-of-date facts.
